I'll share with you this thing I wrote to someone to accompany it... Names and facts have been left out or altered to protect the innocent:
"Just letting you know these years have been a splendid, not in small part thanks to you. I've grown so much and become a better person from what I can only call ripples on the surface of our union. Now, we're soon enough at a point where it's ten years later. Boy does time fly by fast!
I don't write letters. I never saw the point, for some reason. It's never fun when it's just polite "social niceties" stuff going back and forth. But this one I have no problems writing, for I know just what to write. And that is nothing in particular, but I think I'll get my message across anyway.
I'm very grateful that our paths crossed. Maybe it was the wine talking, but the last hug we shared in Paris was a hug I can still remember how it felt. A joyous celebration of all that we accomplished and a true heartfelt goodbye with a little "sad to see you go" kind of vibe. Hence this song you're listening to.
Moments like that can define my life. I can draw inspiration from them like an animal draws water from a pond. They don't come alive every day, but when I sit by my computer thinking of what to write in a letter to you, this is one of the smallest, yet most beautiful of things that calls upon me to be relived, if only in my mind."
There is also lyrics for the song. They are not related to the above text, and are never sung, but can be "thought" to the track. I call it "thought lyrics", for lack of a better wording. You can imagine the song being sung by your favorite artist, or hum along yourself.
